Karl Stoll

Andy "Funky Burdman" Burdetsky has been playing bass for over 45 years. 

Born and raised in the Washington DC area, he had many influences in his early years of learning, including local bands such as The Nighthawks and Danny Gatton, where he found his love for Rhythm and Blues. 

Andy was a member of the popular DC blues band, All Points Bulletin from 1982-1984 where he was fortunate enough to meet and perform with some great local players, including Karl Stoll. 

Andy moved to central Virginia in 2004 and helped establish the Central Virginia Blues Society (CVBS).  He volunteered as President of the CVBS for almost 10 years, while also performing with Fatty Lumpkin & The Love Hogs. 

In 2012 Andy helped form the Jon Spear Band, which just released it’s 4th album. 

In addition to the Jon Spear Band,  Andy continues to perform with the Karl Stoll Power Trio.
