Brian Alpert has been a student of the drums for 55 years. In addition to The Danger Zone, the list of those he has worked with reads like a "who's who" of the Washington area music scene, including famed guitarist Danny Gatton, Muddy Waters' guitarist Bob Margolin, jazz and blues guitar virtuoso Tom Principato, Rounder Records Recording Artist Cowboy Jazz, and blues guitarist Jimmy Thackery. Brian has also backed-up legendary jazz pianist Mose Allison, award-winning jazz artists Deanna Bogart and Tim Eyermann, and has even supported comedy legends Red Skelton and Tiny Tim, and country music legend Johnny Paycheck! Brian's list of influences is wide ranging, from big band legends Chick Webb and Gene Krupa, to rock superstars Ringo Starr and Charlie Watts, to the many great drummers hailing from New Orleans, Louisiana.
