Dean Dalton - Bass

 

Dean Dalton plays bass. He spent three years working as a full-time musician in the late seventies outside Los Angeles on the hotel circuit of Orange County CA before scaling back to part-time playing. After a hiatus, he returned to the music scene in DC in 2015, after retiring from the Federal government. Since then he has gigged with many Washington DC area jazz and blues luminaries including Linwood Taylor, Bad Influence, Anthony "Swamp Dog" Clark, Clarence "The Bluesman" Turner, John Bell, Reggie Wayne Morris, Mike Westcott, James Mabry, Elliott Levine, Glenn Wiser, Tom Kitchen, The Mary Shaver & Mike Tash Band, The Liz Springer Trio, Built 4 Comfort and Keith Grimes.  He includes among his biggest influences the Motown bass players, Jack Bruce, Jack Casady, 60s soul-jazz, 70s jazz-funk, R&B and disco and The Beatles.
