The Danger Zone is a high-energy houserockin’ blues band from the Washington, DC area. The music is a unique mix of danceable rockin’ blues featuring original songs as well as the sounds of blues masters such as Muddy Waters, Jimmy Reed, The Fabulous Thunderbirds and The Nighthawks. The Danger Zone's debut CD, Take A Ride, was nominated by the Washington Area Music Association for Best Blues Recording in 2012. The ten song disc includes five original songs and is getting airplay across the nation.
The band has appeared on NPR's "A Prairie Home Companion with Garrison Keillor" and they perform regularly at festivals and clubs in the DC area.
Over the years, the band has shared the stage with arists such as Tommy Lepson, Tom Principato, Memphis Gold, Skip Castro, Roomful of Blues, Popa Chubby, Anson Funderburgh, Mark Hummel and Charlie Baty.
Some members of the band have toured the nation and locally played large venues including The Birchmere, Nissan Pavilion, Wolf Trap and Patriot Center.
